This is an incredible late twenties, early thirties gown made entirely of a fine, fine black silk net that has been pin-tuck pleated to form the lines and pattern that you see. It is entirely cut on the bias so has that incredible drape and stretch that gowns from this period have. It is incredibly sexy - the lines formed by the pleats accent and highlight the curves of the body. The front and back dip to low V's and the dress hugs your curves to just past the hip. The skirts below the hip are actually quite full - I love how the density of the net looks different from the use of the lines. It is semi-sheer so you can change the feel and look by what you choose to wear underneath. An incredible early gown, very rare and very special! Excellent condition
Unlined and closes with a series of snaps and hook & eye at the side waist. A snap sits at each wrist as well.
Note that antique and twenties pieces are final sale. They will be packed exceedingly well and we only sell pieces that will stand up to the stress of shipping, however, having pieces potentially shipped multiple times through multiple customs and countries is too hard on garments that are historically important and deserve to be treated with love and care. Please purchase accordingly.
